A Unique Program

Welcome to Scotland's only block booking Wrestling program. These 10-week block sessions are clearly structured for you as a parent to follow your child's progress.

The program consists of 7 technical, 1 physical/mindfulness and 1 tactical/strategic session, with week 10 dedicated to a showcase for the kids to demonstrate what they have learned, as well as full competition style matches to prepare them for the nerves and excitement that competition day may bring.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay to watch all sessions throughout the block.

The Journey

What you will receive as part of our club sessions.

• Two club session per week for ten weeks, coached by three-time British champion and Glasgow Commonwealth Games athlete, Ross McFarlane

• Recreational membership (for the year) which covers insurance for club sessions

• Free Exclusive to club members branded T-shirt (available to purchase separately - Hoodies, Tracksuits, Singlets + wrestling boots)

• Training diary - Your child will receive a club branded training diary (parents of children under 8 are encouraged to help fill these in) It will include; move checklist for the block. Club code of conduct. And a check list of progression awards. Children are in charge of filling out their own diary during or after the session. They are encouraged to asked the coach for help with points to remember. All parents are encouraged to speak to their child and help them fill in the diary or ask them to demonstrate what they have learned (Note that all skills are not required to be performed or performed to a certain level to make a good wrestler. We want to provide the knowledge of many moves however the individual will decide, with the coaches help, what moves they like and what suits their style best)

Club Characters

Our club characters are a fun way for your child to progress through their Wrestling journey. They correspond to age as well as skill level. It is NOT the number of techniques they know but the detail of the technique they can demonstrate corresponding with their age. No one is expected to complete all techniques in order to progress. In one year a child will cover a range of techniques that will allow them to upgrade their character. The level of detail we teach for a technique increases with age & skill level. Our aim is that your child enjoys wrestling, learns new skills and if they choose to, compete in competitions out with the club, and within a few years progress to a national level.
